Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of your choice

This program (similar to the School Of Theology) requires:

1. You must choose a Metaphysical topic such as: General Metaphysics, Intuitive Counseling, Angelology, Parapsychology, or any other topic you are interested in.
2. The required text for the PhD is THE SECRET TEACHINGS OF ALL AGES, by Manly P. Hall. You must submit a 15-page paper on this text that will be evaluated by the Review Board.
3. Three (3) elective books in your topic choice and 15-page papers on each.*
4. A 30-100 page PhD Dissertation.
5. There are no examinations.

Metaphysics Certification in the field of your choice

This program requires:

1. You must choose your own Metaphysical topic such as those found in the PhD examples above.
2. You must read 2 (two) books in your topic choice and write a 15-page paper on each and submit the papers to the Institute Review Board for evaluation.*
3. There are no examinations.

*A booklist of suggested titles, which has been prepared by the Bliss-Parsons Institute, can be provided at the request of the student upon enrollment into a program; however, all books for these programs must be purchased by the student from any of the larger book dealers. Bliss-Parsons Institute does not provide any books.

Please note: PhDs granted by the Bliss-Parsons Institute are not accredited (as yet) by the Federal Secretary of Education. What this means is that if you attempt to use your PhD as a resume reference for obtaining employment within the public school system, or federal employment, it will probably not be accepted. However, please also note that most degrees in Metaphysics - even from more mainstream institutions and colleges - are not accredited either, and many from Christian colleges are also not accredited. At some point in the future as our programs evolve the Institute will be seeking accreditation. However, in the meantime, the PhD Diploma you receive is legitimate in most Christian and Metaphysical circles and it will allow you to add "Dr." to your name and to your correspondence. You should be proud of your accomplishment; the acquisition of any higher degree shows great responsibility on anyone's part.
