Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of your choice

This program requires:

1. You must choose your own topic of study. For example: General Theology, New Testament Principles, Religion, Christian History, Intuitive Christian Counseling, or any other topic you are interested in.
2. You must read one required text and submit a 15-page paper (double space) to the Bliss-Parsons Institute Board of Review for approval. The required text for this PhD program is the CHRISTIAN NEW TESTAMENT.
3. You must read three (3) elective books in your topic of choice and submit a 15-page paper (double space) on each of these books to the Review Board for approval. All papers will be evaluated and an evaluation report form will be returned to the student.
4. You must write a PhD dissertation of a minimum of 30 pages and a maximum of 100 pages in length. The Dissertation must also be submitted to the Review Board for evaluation.
5. There are no examinations.

Theology Certification in the field of your choice

This program requires:

1. You must choose your own topic of study. See examples in the PhD Program above.
2. You must read 2 (two) books in your topic choice and write a 15-page paper (double space) on each and submit the papers to the Institute Review Board for evaluation. An evaluation form will be returned to the student for each paper.
3. There are no examinations.

Please note: PhDs granted by the Bliss-Parsons Institute are not accredited (as yet) by the Federal Secretary of Education. What this means is that if you attempt to use your PhD as a resume reference for obtaining employment within the public school system, or federal employment, it will probably not be accepted. However, please also note that most degrees in Metaphysics - even from more mainstream institutions and colleges - are not accredited either, and many from Christian colleges are also not accredited. At some point in the future as our programs evolve the Institute will be seeking accreditation. However, in the meantime, the PhD Diploma you receive is legitimate in most Christian and Metaphysical circles and it will allow you to add "Dr." to your name and to your correspondence. You should be proud of your accomplishment; the acquisition of any higher degree shows great responsibility on anyone's part.
