Dr. Trevor J. Hawkeswood – Light and Dark: My Experiences with the Paranormal

Light and Dark: My Experiences with the Paranormal by Dr. Trevor J. HawkeswoodCongratulations to Dr. Trevor  J. Hawkeswood on the publication of his new book, Light and Dark: My Experiences with the Paranormal, Balboa Press International, 2013.

Trevor J. Hawkeswood is a scientist who has experienced hundreds of paranormal events in his lifetime. In Light and Dark, he recounts some of these incredible interactions.

He believes that reality occurs on two separate but interwoven planes of existence-the Earth plane and the multiple levels of the spiritual planes, including the lower levels, from where the dark souls of humans who have died reach out to us.

He has experienced more than one hundred sightings of the shadow people, or “black ghosts.” He credits guardian angels with saving him from harm or certain death on a number of occasions. Hawkeswood also shares accounts of his numerous sightings of strange aerial phenomena he believes were caused by UFOs.

He has personally experienced clairaudience-voices from beyond-and precognition, or the ability to see the future. His detailed account of a unique out-of-body experience (OOBE) challenges what is known about this remarkable ability. His OOBE was unlike anything that has ever been described by others who have experienced it-and he shares it all in Light and Dark. But it hasn’t all been safe or pleasant. At eighteen, he survived a terrifying encounter with a demon gargoyle who tried to steal his soul energy after paralysing him.

A comprehensive handbook for the paranormal enthusiast, Hawkeswood’s work also provides a glossary and reference list of English-language UFO books. In Light and Dark, he shares a lifetime of experiences, ideas, and theories about this fascinating field of study.

  1. Review of “Light and Dark: My Experiences with the Paranormal” [Paperback]
Publisher BALBOA PRESS INTERNATIONAL from America (31 January 2013).

This is a beautiful, well published book with an attractive but foreboding cover. The front cover shows the author, Dr Trevor J Hawkeswood with moustache, dark cap and searing eyes but what is frightening is the large, strange black figure behind him. The back cover shows the view of the same black ghost from the other perspective behind the author. The author is depicted in a cave with strange cave hieroglyphics. In the book Hawkeswood tells about the black ghosts that he has observed over many years. Black ghosts have been around for centuries. Many people call them the Shadow People.

There is a large chapter on ghosts/sprits and the effects of other ghosts not seen as well as a fascinating account of Guardian Angels who saved him and his family from certain death at the time of the Granville train disaster in Sydney on 18 January 1977.

Hawkeswood outlines many other areas of the paranormal including gargoyles (demons) precognition, clairaudience (hearing sharp voices or whispers from another dimension), UFOS (unidentified flying objects) and an out of body experience (OOBE).

This is a fascinating book which also operates as a handbook to those interested in the paranormal. Often Hawkeswood criticises psychologists and psychiatrists for not understanding the paranormal and being ignorant and unscientific. Hawkeswood also demolishes debunkers and sceptics in one chapter, making them look like idiots.

There is something for everyone here interested in the paranormal. The book is fully referenced and most of the time Hawkeswood supplements his observations with other similar published accounts.

In parts the book is quite funny but is most often serious. There’s a wealth of information here about scientists, the universe and the unexplained from somebody who has had a unique set of paranormal experiences. Dr Hawkeswood is an internationally renowned biologist who has published hundreds of papers on many biological topics in journals and other books all over the world.

The book should be treated seriously and will become a classic for future study by others.

I highly recommend this book and I enjoyed it immensely. It will give the reader much food for thought. It it also an extremely useful resource book.

    • Thank you, Dr. Markhan. We couldn’t agree more. This book has already become our primary resource in paranormal research.
